Pocket Watch Accessories do two jobs. One is wearing the watch, which is what a chain is for, and the other is keeping or presenting it, which is what a box is for. Neither arrives with the watch itself, so this is the part of an order people tend to leave until last and then wish they had thought about first. Chains
A matching chain is available for every watch in the range, chosen to suit the finish of the watch rather than sold as a generic extra. It is not included in the price of a watch, but a free matching chain is added to orders over $100, which covers most single-watch orders. One end fastens to the bow, the small loop at the top of the case, and the other anchors to a waistcoat buttonhole, a belt loop or the edge of a jacket pocket so the watch is held if it slips. Boxes
There are two kinds, and they are not interchangeable. The premium bamboo box is a presentation box, sized for a single watch and meant to be given away with the watch inside, and it is in stock and ready to ship. The larger display box is for keeping a small collection where you can see it, and it is made to order, so allow extra time for it. The bamboo box is free with the code BAMBOOBOX on orders over $80 and is included automatically on orders over $200. Both sit in Pocket Watch Display Boxes.
Ordering and delivery
Accessories ship from Brisbane with the rest of your order, dispatched within one to two business days, though made-to-order pieces take longer. Australian orders over $60 travel free by Express Post, one to two business days in transit, while smaller orders go Parcel Post at three to seven business days. We ship to New Zealand as well. Change-of-mind returns are accepted for 60 days on unworn, un-engraved watches in their original packaging, with return postage paid by the buyer, and the movement carries a 12-month warranty. Does a pocket watch come with a chain?
No, the chain is a separate item. A matching chain is available for every watch FOB & Co sells, and a free matching chain is added to orders over $100, which covers most single-watch orders. If your order is under that, you can add a chain from the Pocket Watch Chains category yourself.
What is the difference between a gift box and a display box?
A gift box, also called a presentation box, holds one watch and is meant to be given away with the watch inside. Ours is the premium bamboo box, which is in stock and ready to ship. A display box is larger, keeps several pieces visible rather than shut away, and is meant to stay on a shelf or dresser. The display box is made to order, so allow extra time for it.
How do I get the free bamboo presentation box?
Use the code BAMBOOBOX at checkout on orders over $80 and the bamboo presentation box is added at no charge. On orders over $200 it is included automatically and you do not need a code. A watch and a chain together will usually clear the $80 threshold.
How long does delivery take within Australia?
Orders are dispatched from Brisbane within one to two business days. Australian orders over $60 ship free by Express Post, which is one to two business days in transit, and orders under $60 go by Parcel Post at three to seven business days. Allow extra time for made-to-order pieces such as the display box. New Zealand shipping is available.
Can accessories be engraved?
No. Engraving is offered only on the Engravable Pocket Watches range, where it is applied to the case back, up to 30 characters, and added on the product page for a small fee. It adds two to four business days to dispatch. Chains and boxes cannot be engraved.
