A box gives it one padded place to sit between wears. Gift box or display box

These are two different things. A gift box, or presentation box, holds a single watch and is designed to be given away with the watch inside. Ours is the premium bamboo box, in stock and ready to ship. A display box is larger, keeps several pieces visible under a see-through lid, and is meant to stay on a shelf or dresser rather than be handed over. Ours is made to order, so allow extra time for it. If you are buying for someone else, the bamboo box is almost always the right answer. If you are buying for yourself and already own more than one watch, the display box is.

Two ways to get a box at no charge

The bamboo presentation box is free with the code BAMBOOBOX on orders over $80, and it is included automatically on orders over $200 with no code needed. A watch and a chain together will usually clear $80, so most gift orders qualify. A free matching chain is added to orders over $100 as well, which means one order can arrive with the watch, the chain and the box together. Storing a pocket watch between wears

Keep the watch dry and away from strong magnets, wind a hand-wound movement fully before putting it away, and lay it flat in the box rather than hanging it by the chain, which puts the weight of the case on the bow. Most of our hunters and skeletons are hand-wound mechanical pieces, so they will stop if they sit unworn for a few days, which is normal rather than a fault. What is the difference between a pocket watch gift box and a display box?

Can I get a pocket watch box free with my order?

How long does the display box take to arrive?

The bamboo presentation box is in stock and is dispatched from Brisbane within one to two business days. The larger display box is made to order, so allow extra time beyond the usual dispatch window. Australian orders over $60 then ship free by Express Post, one to two business days in transit, and orders under $60 travel by Parcel Post at three to seven business days.

Can I buy a box on its own, without a watch?

Yes, boxes are sold as separate items and you do not need to buy a watch with one. Bear in mind the free-box offers are tied to order value, so a box bought on its own will not trigger them. New Zealand shipping is available on boxes as it is on the rest of the range.

Can a pocket watch box be engraved or personalised?

No. Engraving is available only on the Engravable Pocket Watches range, where it is applied to the case back of the watch, up to 30 characters, and added on the product page for a small fee. It adds two to four business days to dispatch. Boxes and chains cannot be engraved.
